1. What information do we collect?
In short: We collect the details you give us when you create an account and the health and nutrition data you choose to log.
- Account data: name, username, email address, password, gender and age.
- Profile and body data: weight, height, activity level (sedentary, moderate, active) and your goal (lose, gain or maintain weight).
- Nutrition data: logged meals, calories, macros (fat, protein, carbs), meal photos captured through AR/camera scanning, and food search history.
- Glucose and biomarker data: glucose readings you enter manually, glucose trend and spike history, and LDL, cholesterol and lipid results you save in the Health Biomarkers & Lab Vault.
- Metabolic profile data: AI-generated estimates of carb sensitivity, fat metabolism and inflammation risk.
- Device and camera access: used only for AR meal scanning while you are scanning.
- Notification and reminder preferences.
- Payment data for premium subscriptions, handled by Stripe, the App Store or Google Play — we never store your card details.
- Sign-in data when you use Google or Apple to log in.
Important: metabolic and Bio Score figures are algorithmic estimates, not clinical lab reports or a medical diagnosis. We do not collect sensitive health information beyond what you voluntarily log, and your entries are user-input rather than lab-verified.
2. How do we process your information?
In short: To run your account, personalise your plan, and improve the app.
- Create, manage and authenticate your account through email, Google or Apple sign-in.
- Generate personalised AI nutrition plans and calorie and macro targets.
- Calculate estimated metabolic and health analytics, including your Bio Score (clearly non-diagnostic).
- Send the reminders and notifications you have turned on.
- Improve the accuracy of AI meal recognition and our recommendations.
- Provide customer support when you contact us.
3. What legal bases do we rely on?
In short: Your consent, our contract with you, our legitimate interests, and legal obligations.
- Consent — for camera access, notifications and any health data you enter. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Performance of a contract — to provide your account and any subscription you purchase.
- Legitimate interests — to improve the app, keep it reliable and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
4. When and with whom do we share your information?
In short: We do not sell your data, and your health data is never shared for advertising.
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- Payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google) receive only what is needed to handle a subscription.
- Glucose, biomarker and health data is not shared with third parties and is never used for advertising.
- Service providers who help us operate the app work under written confidentiality agreements.
- We may disclose information where the law requires it, such as a valid legal request.
5. Cookies & tracking technologies
In short: We use a small number of cookies and analytics events to keep the site and app working well.
Our website uses essential cookies to remember your preferences and basic analytics cookies to understand how pages are used. Inside the app we record aggregated usage events — such as which screens are opened — to fix problems and improve features. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; essential ones are needed for the site to function.
6. How long do we keep your information?
In short: As long as your account is active, and no more than 30 days after you ask us to delete it.
- Account data is kept while your account is active and is deleted or anonymised within 30 days of a deletion request.
- Nutrition, glucose and biomarker logs are kept only as long as needed to provide the service.
- You can remove your data at any time using Delete Account, or take a copy with Export Data, both in the app's Settings screen.
7. How do we keep your information safe?
In short: Encrypted storage, secure authentication and tight access controls.
Your data is stored encrypted, protected by secure authentication, and reachable only by the small number of people who need it to run the service. We review access regularly and keep audit records of changes.
No online service can promise perfect security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your device locked.
8. Do we collect information from minors?
In short: Skylance is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 where local law requires).
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that age. If we learn that a child has created an account, we deactivate it and delete the associated data promptly. If you believe a child has given us information, email us at support0247@gmail.com.
9. What are your privacy rights?
In short: You can access, correct, export or delete your data whenever you like.
- Access and correct your details from Profile Info in Settings.
- Download a copy of your logs with Export Data.
- Permanently remove everything with Delete Account.
- Sign out of any device with Logout.
- Withdraw consent for camera access or notifications in your device settings.
- Or simply email support0247@gmail.com and we will action your request.
10. Controls for Do-Not-Track features
In short: We do not currently respond to Do-Not-Track browser signals.
Most browsers and some mobile systems offer a Do-Not-Track setting. No uniform standard for honouring these signals has been finalised, so we do not respond to them today. If a standard is adopted, we will update this notice.
11. US residents' specific rights
In short: California and other US state residents have extra rights under CCPA/CPRA.
- The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
- The right to request deletion of your personal information.
- The right to correct inaccurate information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share it.
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email support0247@gmail.com. We will verify your request through the email address linked to your account.
12. Do we make updates to this notice?
In short: Yes — whenever the law or our practices change.
We may revise this notice from time to time. The revised version is marked with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page and takes effect as soon as it is published. If changes are significant, we will notify you in the app or by email.

14. Review, update, or delete your data
In short: You stay in control — from the app or by email.
